I use the larger kits of finish and glue, and am wondering if you guys use a regular light bulb to heat finish, or a lower power heat lamp style?

No problem Buzz. I just checked and have one in the shop - T2SP601, tip trimmed 4" to 4'8", and there is a nice thru hole at the tip for line to pass thru. And it makes one nice little ultra-lite for open water too.

I use a lot of Minima fly guides on spinning and casting rods. Do any of you guys use them on fly rods. If so what sizes do you run on lighter and heavier rods for sizes, and any particular tip tops?

On 6 wt and under rods, anyone use single foot spinning guides for the strippers? Or even larger single foot ceramics?

Don't build many rods for salt fishing. I have the black finish Minima's in the shop - CF4CG06 fly's - will this finish do OK on a lighter saltwater rod? How about TiCh finish on tip tops? Thanks!

Is the Lamiglas LP843 the same x-fast blank as the LP842? Harder to find these XMG50's, but they are really nice blanks.

Thanks Roger, No issue with cranking while the drag is turning. Actually a lot of the issue is with lite and UL rods for panfish, where the drag doesn't even go out when bringing in fish. Do you use the chrome finish M4's or darker black finish M4's, or other? Wonder if it makes a difference? For mono, I use a lot of Stren, Trilene XT, and a few others.

I use a lot of Minima's on spinning rods with 4# to 8# mono, but run a ceramic tip top. Seems every time I experiment with the Minima top I get a lot of line twist/curling. I know I have asked this type of question before, but just want to re-check with you guys, as it's a little frustrating. With braid they are fine. Any comments welcome.

Anyone know how the Lami IMP 843 or 844 compare to the LP 842 or LSJ 842 as far as action? I know the LP or LSJ are probably lighter.

In the 2016 catalog on pg. 23 they show a TiBlack tip top - looks like titanium frame with black finish according to the p.n. - KP4KT06-04.0 - or other tube size.
