I have casted the 5 weight TiCr and it really feels nice. Haven't seen the other faster rods yet, but you can't beat their customer service and blank warranty. I wouldn't hesitate building a 5 weight, and may myself for my next project. The 6 weight I just finished up easily casts another 20 feet farther than what I've normally been doing, and that is with a 6 weight line. Either I'm getting b

Yes, you should wrap the female ends slightly tighter than your guides. Twice the diameter of the opening is a enough. In other words, not too much at all! Then apply finish. This will prevent splits on that end of the section. Get the wraps as close to the edge as you can.

3. chip in TiCr
I put together a 6 weight TFO TiCr recently to chase down carp. Been out fishing in the wind recently with bead-chain eyed flies and a heard the fly hit the rod. Didn't think much of it at the time. When I broke down the rod, I noticed a very small chip (maybe 2mm diameter) just above the ferrule of the tip section. This chip looks white against the black matte finish. Have I exposed graphit
