I glued up some cork rings and eva strips using gorilla wood glue dries clear.
have not had any trouble yet.Put glue on both sides and clamped them together.
My test piece was really hard to break, matter of fact it broke the cork first.

15. Re: EVA/Cork
Ima gonna put pink eva strips between the rings on this catfish rod.
Ya'll just use titebond glue or contact cement?
Pearl white blank, purple guide frames with gold ring or the holo/tich,cork split grip with the eva strips.
Pink guide wraps and a diamond fade in purple to pink.
thanks,mikeb
Billy thatsa nice checker board!!!

Sometimes using a good pair of scissors will make the cuts cleaner and straighter.
A razor will try to "pull" the skin as you try to cut it.

23. Re: Tom K
Thanks Tom!
I was just curious.
Seems like with the web promotions at the show people would check it out.
It was several thousand people at the show both days.
Probably the rod builders as a group are a older generation, thus less likely to be on the internet.
NO offense implied or intended........just thinkin out loud!!!
I guess the internet rod builders are just the minority..like you sa

I put my information in invisable ink..my name, date and rod number.
And whatever info the customer wants to add. it can be seem by black lite.
It was in one of Toms magazines,But I dont know which one.
Then if the customer wants the line and weigh I will add that, most dont want it on
the rod..You have a clean rod with no writing, just decorations.(whatever kind)
