i have a guy who wants me to replace his guides on his surf rod. there is only 4 guides on the rod. I was going to use the 27 theory but then again i would have to refinish the whole thing . Do you think i can put smaller guides and not change the spacing .Just want to just upgrade the rod for the gent

just finished split grip. I used burnt and natural burl blocks. Question should i use a cork seal on the grip? thanks

i have some cork tape with no sticky backing. I brought some 3m77 glue.on the instructions it says to spray surface.my question is do i spray both surfaces or one. thanks for the help chip

Russell Yes i think will be happy with anything i can to upgrade the rod. the rod is used for fishing with eels for bass good size fish. what is the 27 method?? i like the single foot guides myself thanks for the come back chip

A friend of mine gave me an old lami 7'-6'" spinning rod # mb063 ?? to replace the guides.not sure about the blank#. 7/8" butt and a#12 tip. All Perfection guides 4 to exact .Biggest being a 60. What size fuji guides would be a better upgrade thanks chip

ok got my blanks from mud hole 6'.0" 40 60 lbs class question never did a foam grip before only cork.the rear grip is taper .this has a gimbal and a butt cap also which way does the taper go taper towards the butt to meet the gimbal or the opp.feel stupid or just not knowing

hi guys i Just built a spinning rod for someone for xmas. My question is this i used 2 coats of flex coat lite.The finish was great. Really good but ,in a small feather inlay there is a small fish eye or bubble the the size of a pin head right in the middle of the inlay.!!! help Please.I don't want to try to refinish the butt wrap where i pictured frame the inlay.Santa is coming. thank you.eve
