3. Re: Tunnels
I simply use a toothpick for the tunnels. I just take a small drop on the toothpick and set it up against the back side of the guide foot. Amount of the size of the drop depends on the size of the guide for obvious reasons.

I have done one with success, I found it to be the easiest if cp is applied first then the thread is glued on. This allows the glue to hold the thread in place better, then i applied a second coat of cp before finish. It was easier to manage the second attemp. I used a tooth pick to hold the thread In place until the glue held.

Wade,
I have gone 24 hours numerous times between coats of finish without any issues. If you go longer than that then lightly scuff the finish without effecting the threads and then recoat with finish. You will be fine.

Ed,
One thing that might be helpful for you, Is that after you think that all the guides are aligned. Set the rod down and find something else to do. Then later on come back and look down the guides again. Majority of the time when i do this method, i find a guide that needs a little adjustment.

Jim And Sean ,
Im on the same page now. For some reason the 10% kept popping out when i simply over looked the 60 % in the equasion. Thanks for breaking it down for easier understanding.

Jim,
No disrespect to you, But i do not see the section you suggested saying anything about 6%. I copied and pasted from the article that section you recommended. I'm not arguing with anyone, I'm simply trying to understand this and i may be making it harder than it should be.

I have a question. In the article by Tom Kirkman, it indicates that the FET is a 10% charge or $10.00 cap. I saw in Thad's post that there is a 6% charge. What is the correct percentage?
Also if I understand this correctly, I only charge FET on the retail of a custom rod price and then state sales tax is figured into that equasion, then labor charges are added in to a total cost of final sale p

I was wondering what other rod builders use or put into their warrenty paper's that you give to your customer's. I know that all defects in craftsmanship are covered by the manufacturer of that component. I am working on printing out a warrenty form for my customer's. Any Ideas are helpfull.
