Hi There,
I have quite a bit of experience with these seats and have been working with REC. The wood arbor has to be 3.52" in length for the seat to accomodate most reels. I hope this is of some help. Good luck.

Hi All,
Thanks to all who responded. Cilff Hall was right, "Is there some reason (weight?) that you do not want to simply apply
an additional thinner coat of epoxy to gloss-finish the surface?" My problem is that I am epoxy challenged and no matter what I try, I can not come up with a level finish. All I am trying to do is get a light coat of epoxy over a decal on a glass rod.

Howdy All,
I was just wondering if anyone out there has expiremented with putting a coat of U40 Perma Gloss over a cured and, lightly sanded to level, expoxy finish to restore things to gloss. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Howdy All.
I just purchased a Vivitar, ViviCam 8600s, digital camera to use for taking photos of rods for my website. It has 8.1 Megapixel CCD capabilites. Hopefully, this camera will be capable of taking the quality of photos that I am looking for. My question to all of you who manage to get very high quality photos of your rods is how you do it? My attempts have always been lighted poorly

Howdy All.
I have a decal that I want to finish with U40 Perma-Gloss, so I can control things and get a very light build. Since Perma-Gloss has a tendancy to eat the ink on the decal, I am looking for suggestions on how to preserve the print, before I coat it. If anyone has any suggestions on what type of color preserver, or any other top top coat that would work successfully, I would truly

Hi All,
I am just curious if anyone has had a chance to check out the new St. Croix Avid blanks with IPC. If so, what are your thoughts as compared to the older models? Thanks in advance for your comments. Take care.

Howdy All,
There's some great information contained in this thread. I am in a similar situation, as I am going to build a salmon fly rod for my brother. Does anyone have any experience with St. Croix's, Legend Ultra 908, 4 pc., blank. I was thinking of using one. Any response would be both appreciated and helpful. Thanks in advance.

Howdy All,
I am just curious how those who have experience with these blanks would rate the Rainshadow RX6 & RX7 as compared to the SCIII. I am partial to the SCIII blanks, but have heard that they are being discontinued. Does anyone know what St. Croix plans to replace the series with? I appreciate your responses. Thanks.
