I have used hot melt glue for 20 years.I have had the eye pop out on the tip many times from the rod hitting the deck or other careless anglers. With the hot melt glue you can fix it right there no problems and get back to fishing. I always keep a stick of glue, extra tips and a lighter in my box just for that reason. Has any one frished a rod with the new Pacific Bay Tungsten Carbide guides? I am looking to use the STC model. They seem to be very functional and simple. A very hard ring with no insert to pop out if your rod falls on the deck. I like that.

I have a Sabre 196 8ft xl blank. My brother and I are in debate over the fact of using A sized thread verses C thread. My question is will the extra weight of the C thread affect the action of the blank, especially in th tip section. I know guide and epoxy selection will also effect this also.
