Aica-Aibon is similar product with contact cement, most hardware store in Asia sell them but not sure in Aussie
Any brand of synthetic rubber adhesive will work as long as not water base.

I don't think Shimano selling their blank.
But if you know the length, line class, lure class, and the rod action/taper. you might try to find different manufacture with the same or at least closer characteristic.

Duuuh.......I completely 100% forgot about Riley blank (sorry Mike)
Riley blank it has parabolic action as well and the price range is affordable.

If you like moderate/parabolic action go with Synit, Black Hole, Spinal.
They're used nano resin technology, soft tip to work on wide range of jig and plenty of backbone to pull the big one but easy on the angler back.
I have been speed jigging at the GOM for five year now, My email is open if you want to contact me.

It depend what kind rod action you like, parabolic action or fast taper action.
There is a lot of blank made special for butterfly jigging or speed jigging.
OTI (Ocean Tackle International), Jigging Master, Black Hole, Synit, Spinal, Jaws, etc........ too much to list.

I drop 14oz/400gr Smith Nagamasa jig on the 500-800ft water with decent current (around oil rig) and my armpit hair start to fall-off from the rod jigging motion.......ha....ha...ha....
I'm talking about speed jigging Japanese style not yoyo type style jigging :-)
BTW put the guides inside the spine curve if you intend to build for Stella 2kFA.

They're an old school fisherman with those gator blank and 70-80mm wire guide stripper, pair it with either penn 706z or mitchel 300.
They will never change the setup, no matter what. And they swear by it, that is the best setup.
Oh yeah....I always got funny look when I fish next to them with my custom Japanese rod :-)

Yes, you can.
I do Forhan wrap on 3.5size micro guides.
The only my problem is with micro top frame, keep on bending because no ring frame support.

I have built 10's of this IS701H blank for my self and friends.
We used it for throwing gotcha plug to catch spanish mackerel off the pier, and we catch several king mackerel up to 20 pounds on this blank as well.
All I can say is excellent rod, and you can't beat the $23 price come with lifetime warranty.
I like the old batch(early 2008), it has ticker blank and feels like extra fast actio

Most of high end Japanese vertical jigging rod used SIC guides ICMNSG or MNSG on both spinning and conventional rod.
Or you can go with Alconite guides BMNAG or CMNAG for less money.
I built some vertical jigging rod with Alconite guides and never have a problem PE or Braided line digging on the guides.
