Jim, I can make the 1/4" mandrels any length you want but Jim Gamble is 100% correct the longer 1/4" mandrel will flex and will could come off the lathe and cause some damage, ask Mike Barkley. Also the longer 1/4" mandrels could flex just from the tail stock presser and will cause your finish product to be out of round. If I can help in any way just drop me a line. l&#

Backlash tools is in the process of making a tool, designed by Bobby Feazel at Shockwave Rods. The tool is quite innovative and will be great for comparing blanks for full load or for the CCS system.
