Ron I dropped my dryer and the c clip that holds the shaft in place on the back of the moter poped off. I failed to find the clip. I then turned it on and it wobbled. I took a very small piece of wire and wrapped it in the slot the c clip was at and it now works perfect. Your c clip might have fallen out leaving the shaft not secure in the moter.

It was only a 1.50 Item that I had been looking for for a while but he had it ."old' rod that I am restoring. I will always call Lance everytime I need anything.

Ken--The most important thing about mableing is the matter of timing . That is how long to let the base set before doing your art work. If u wait too long it will not run out and marble. I if you do too soon it will run all over the place. Just according to how ya want it to look. Matter of timing......... And you will NEVER be able to duplicatge another job.

I have customer that has bought a new Van Stahl bsb 250 spin reel. If your not familiar with this reel, it pushes 1,000 bucks. He is wanting to pitch toppers to yellow fins and also live and dead bait in the chum slick. And of course he wants to cast a long way and have enough back bone to handle a 100# tuna. Any one that knows from experience what I might go with on this? Also to a certain degre

24. Re: Epoxy
I find that a lot of rod builders here try to make things a lot more complicated and hard to do than it is. Do some reseach and common sence and it is not that hard to do. Albeit that sometimes we all run into something that we cannot figure out on our own. Epoxy is the least problamatic of all if u do some reserch on the subject.

Not sure why you would want another coat of finish.Usually one coat of hi build is good. But if you insist, let it stand for 12 hrs and another coat of what u got . Should be ok.
