I have used these single foot guides for tips on many rods. I grind the guide foot to ensure a smooth transition from the guides foot to the blank. Use a very thin strip of masking tape to hold the guide in place at the bottom of the foot and then wrap down form the guide ring to the blank, I have to have the guide facing to the right side as I am right handed. When you get close to the masking t

I buy some of the central vac piping from Home Depot and give them that as a rod tube with the end caps, not much cost to me but great for shipping them and the customer gets that little extra

Been out of the rod building circuit for a few years. Are Wiebe reel seats still manufactured or are they out of business, love the spinning seats. Thanks

Hope soemone can help me with this, dont know if I am right with what I found out so far The Dynamwood reel seats are actually made from "resin" and then finished to look like wood. If this is true then can I buy this resin in blocks or certain size pieces. The second question is how do you finish the resin to look like wood and where can I buy the material. Thanks for any help

I am just making a dryer , had one and sold it a few years ago due to relocation for work. I just found a good motor at a BBQ store cost is a little high at $140.00 but it is rated for continueous and can turn 100 lbs. I wanted one like this because I build a lot of rods and when the dryer is complete, with 2 drums at 18" diameter I can dry a few rods at once, the motor is extremely quiet.
