If I were asked to go on a fishing trip and nothing was said about price or cost, I would ask what my share of the cost is. Don't assume it's free, unless you are told that by the person doing the inviting. I've been on to many Lake Erie walleye trips to assume it's free. Everything these days is expensive, it won't hurt your friendship. Ron

Where can I buy decorative rod tape ( gold, silver, etc. ) for underlays and trim bands? I've seen 1/16th and 1/8th inch wide tape on sites to the left, but want 1 to 2 inch wide tape to cut to size. I've seen it used on factory built rods for trim and under guides. Want to add it to my rod building supplies. Just something more to have. Thanks guys and good fishing. On my way to the ice

You can use artist pigment paint mixing tools. There are many different styles and sizes. Artist Pallette Knife. You can get a cake frosting knife, and cut to your own shape and size. Or get a flexible paint scraper, and size it. Harbor Freight has wood working or carving set with a small spatula in it. I cut and shaped mine with a Dremel tool. Ron

Hello, I did the same as Duane, only it took 5 coats of 5 minute epoxy. Let it dry overnight, then wrapped. It came out beautiful. It was my first one I tried. Ron

Gentlemen and ladies too. I'm new to your forum and computer use, please be patient. Although, I've been building since 1974, I have a question. Can cork be dyed, can I just dye the surface, or can it be dyed through entire cork thickness. Here's what I'ld do. After sanding and shaping cork, dye it with RIT liquid dye, by dabbing and rubbing with a paper towel or cloth, after it dried put
