I test casted the rod Bill S. is talking about with the micros on top and i was amazed at how far i was casting the small weight on the end, I will setup and test cast a rod with micros on top and spiraled to see casting distance between the two builds.

I am attempting to build a 7ft meduim/moderate spinning rod with micro guides. I would like some suggestions on guide spacing and sizes.

I checked the reel seat hood to make sure that it was not the problem, since getting info from this forum i believe it is the finish on the back side of the guides that when the rod flexes the the finish seperates from the back side of the guide leg and makes a light tapping sound.

Tip top on both rods are secure.

I just completed 2 casting rods with concept guides that are making a light tapping sound when the rod is shaken. Anyone else having this problem?
