As Cindy and I was getting ready to head east, I recieved a call that my 82 year old Mother had fallen and broken her hip. This will be the 3rd year in a row something has came up to keep us from attending the show. Safe trip to all and we'll try again next year.

I have had this happen before and it usually clears up after it drys. One way to prevent this is to wait longer between coats and only light coats.

That is great information Mike, the stuff really works great but ya must follow the read in Rod maker. You are also correct, Bill has been a HUGE help to me making decals.

I find this very interesting and would like to be a part of such a contest. With that said 90% of the rods I build wouldn't even notice a 3/8 oz. weight. For the heavy rod builders a 3 or 4 oz. weight would be nice and then------LETS GET IT ON!!!

Yesterday secured airline tickets and a few days ago confirmed hotel room for the Expo. This will be the first one so the wife and I are really excited. We figure we will take a few days and have a good time while we are there. Looking forward to meeting everone and learning a few things while I'm there. I'm hoping you guys can teach an old dog a few new tricks.

Looks great, I also like the camo reel seat, its a shame they don't make them in larger sizes.

If useing a lighter be sure to use the side of the flame and not to put it directly under the wrap, this will help with the soot factor, and do not get to close.

I must agree with Bill on this one. I have only had 2 rods broken in all the years I been shipping, but both times it was the same old story, miss packaging. That is BULL, when it is in a sh.40 tube and surrounded with paper and bubble wrap that can't be the case. But still they will never pay for it or make the insurance claim pay it either. Why bother with the extra insurance?

Have a client wanting a 9' 2 peice rod, 20/40 line class for bank fishing for Catfish, suggestions? IT will need the power to cast big bait and heavy weight. Thanks in advance.

We build about 90% baitcasters, 5% Spinning, 5% ultralite and flyrods if that much.

I'm looking for someone that carrys the Pac Bay splash reel seats, I have looked on most of the sponsors on the left and didn't see them listed. I'm hoping they have them and just didn't list them. Thanks in advance.

I do it a lot mostly at tournaments, I'll take 3 or 4 and someone always want to try them. It's a great tool to sell rods and I look forward to it every time.

I have been restoring some snagging rods for a couple of clients, the only way I can make them look correct is to sand them and paint em. So far they have turned out great, but then again I do a good amount of air brushing also.
