Just saw this on the Fuji web site, they came up with three new "tangle free" designs. All in Titanium-SIC version:
KW frame - this is hybrid between SV & HV frames and goes from 8mm to 50mm SIC ring.
KL frame - this is hybrid between LV & Y frames and goes from 12mm to 30mm SIC ring
KT frame - this is hybrid between MK & L frames and goes from 3.5mm to 10mm SIC ri

Lee,
I agree with you, however Carp fishing is popular amongst only small group compared to the rest of the species. At the moment only few manufacturers are offering Carp blanks and the best one are still produced overseas. Unless Carp fishing become's a very popular form of sport fishing I am afraid that we are not going to see any change on the market.

Chris,
Fuji LC guides are designed for use with spinning reel's and braided lines. Their design is helping to minimize the wind knot's that are happening when using braid's. If you are intending to use them with mono it will not work, however for braid's thay are perfect and in that case 20 stripper guide is all that you need. Keep in mind that the striper guide will have to be min 120cm from th

Ray,
Where I am fishing there are a lot of rocks, and from my experience with braids when it comes to being resistant to cuts it comes to diameter of the braid not only the braking power. In other words if you have braid that is 40lbs braking test but only 10lbs diameter when is faced with sharp rock it has only 10lbs braking test.
Sean,
you are right, I would use mono or fluorocarbon leader

Hi Everybody,
I am about to build my first rod, it is a Century Flatie, 11' 10" 2-4oz. I want to build it with Fuji Low Rider's. My question is which size of running guides and tip to use 8 or 10? Naturally I would go with smallest possible but concern is the knot clearance. It will be used with a spinning reel, 30-50lbs braid and 50-80lbs shock leader. Hope some of you surf guy's will chim

Mark,
Probably the easiest way to take good photos of small objects or details is first to secure both your camera and rod, use tripod or place them on a flat surface so they don't move. This is very important when shooting details since depth of field( acceptable sharpness in photography) is, in that case very low, so quite often your subject will be out of focus. Also when ever you can make s

Dave,
Software looks great and as someone very new to rod building I think that would help a lot. Count me in if you decide to release it.
Good work!

Hi Spencer,
I have tried your link but it leads nowhere. By the way are they the manufacturers of the blanks since that was my issue, I know that the Carp rods are sold in the US but again are any of those US made? To my knowledge only GLoomis made a line of Carp rods, not offered as a blank, and they are sold only overseas.

First I have to say that I do chose American made blank whenever I can, but the fact is that in many cases it is impossible to find the blank with certain characteristics from them. For example even thou that American made blanks for surf fishing are great, the fact is that the best one are made in England (Century, ZZplex, Conoflex) and they do outcast any domestic blank. Not to mention a blanks
