here is my first attempt at a Float N Fly Rod. i made them from 8 1/2 ft. 5 wt. fly rod blanks. i used the Tn. Handle and taped the reels on.

thanks guys.......i have both...The Glue Runners as well as the Sewing Elastic......i will experiment with both to see which one serves me the best,,,,,,,,,
you guys have been so much help over the years.....no matter how stupid the question......someone always has the patience to offer their advise......

guys ..i am no small feller.....6'7"....315 lb....a Basketball Palmed in my hand looks like a Volley Ball.........how on earth do i get those # 4 and # 3 MICRO GUIDES on the blank......:( any suggestions is appreciated......

its a fast action action .... Rain Shadow..its 6'6"...he wants straight wrapping...he will be fishing for LM and SM Bass using mostly Texas Rig heres the #s for the rod...
IMB783...its a MH Fast action blank...he ask for Split grip...10.75" to back of the reel seat and no foregrip.....hope this info help.....

guys i have never built a rod using Micro Guides....i have my first order today for one........i have build 100's of other rods but none using Micro Guides........would someone take a few minutes and help me with the size of the guides and spacing on a 6' 6" Rod....... he wants Fuji Micro Guides

hey guys...i have a customer needing the tip top replaced for his Wild Carrot Stick Rod......does anyone have any idea where can i find a matching replacement Tip for that rod?

i have been reading a lot hee lately about the Micro Guides being used on casting rods...i have never tried them but i am like you concening the fly od guides in place of the double foot guides...

i also use Alconites on almost all my personal rod's. this gentlemen was wanting a sensitive rod and was asking about what type of guides would be good for added sensitivity......do you think the Alconites would be a good choice rather than the expensive other 2 i mentioned...he says money isn't a problem i just want to make him a good rod...and oh by the way...do you think $50 labor to much to

i just received one of the New RX8 XMB843 Rod Blanks...i am having a problem with locating the spine.....it has 2 spines...exactly opposite one another but one gives a little more of a Thump when it stops on it but time after time it will stop on each spine when i try and locate one...........what would you suggest i should do?

i have been searching for a blank to match the rod listed below......it also needs to have an EF Tip. i am open to any suggestion that you guys may have...Oh and thanks for the Spinnerbait Rod Blank tips ...the customes love them...Castaway 822 Blank's were perfect...

26. which Glue
i have read somewhere (but i cannot find the topic's doing the search) about guys using either Title Bond II Glue or Gorilla Glue for glueing up cork grips....which one is it ..i have always used Flex Coat on my Cork Rings before but i am wanting to find something cheaper but still get the same results.

he fishes the rivers here in Tn and Va from a coleman crawdad...lol those big fish pull the boat all over the place. so if he don't intend to troll its OK to make a split grip????
man !!!!!!!! you do beautiful work.......my wife had me a shop built last month.....she said my rod building had taken over the house......lol. i really like the cork....is that burl cork with a rubber butt?

OK guys....do you think these guides .......Fuji LNSG-169 Fuji SiC Casting Guide Set for 7'6"-8' Rods ................this tip top BMGAT-8-9 Fuji Alconite "MG" Tip-Tops - Black is a good choice ? i will try and drop by his house and look at his musky rods he has now . i will go with the HKC-8 handle kit but i am leaning toward's making the grip myself for a more custom look. t

gus i am gooing to build my first Musky Rod....its for a friend.....hes a diehard toothy critter fisherman. hes has caught over 50 this year and 6 of them over 50" so i want to make sure i get the right guides and handle setup for him. i would ask him but its a surprise Christmas Gift....................
the rod blank is made by St. Criox, its a SCIII and its aone piece blank....it's 8' in

what rod blank on the market is close to a Berkley Series One Rod. i am looking for a 6' Med. Action Spinning Rod Blank....i am thinking Rainshadow Blank would be a good choice but i am open to other suggestions as well..................
