Was an Index for Volume #9 ever printed? Nothing in the last issue of #9 or the beginning of #10. I did a search and found nothing.

I called Loomis a few months ago and asked for a specification decal for one of their blanks that I purchased, and they said they didn't have any, but they may be offering water slide decals for their blanks later on in the new year.

I just recently finished a Dragon head, and in order to get the detail that I wanted, I endeded up with a pattern that was 135 threads and six colors. I had somewhere in the neighbohhod of 540 threads in my loom. It came out pretty nice, problem is that it is so wide, that I may only be able to use it on a gaff or something similar in diameter. I also finished a mayfly nymph, 2 colors, but still

I currently am building a spiral wrap (bumper style) bottom rod in the 30# class for a client who has very large hands. The problem is that the line coming off his reel of choice cuts across the top knuckle of his left thumb.
Since I can only turn down the EVA fore grip just so much, the next step would be to find a butt guide with a higher frame height. I started out with a Fuji MNSG20, and t

Thanks guys, The reel on this rod is a Quantum saltwater CLW20PTS spooled with 30# braided. As Billy noted, I expect this rod to get some pretty good use, that is why I was concerned about the guide type and style. Knowing the owner of this rod, he will probaly try to pull lobster pots if he gets hung up on one. But rest assured I will clue him in before hand.
Thanks Billy and also to you Mik

Currently in the process of building a bottom/trolling rod targeting strippers and blues, on a Lamiglas CGBT841M 7' 30# class Tri-Flex blank. I had planned to use Fuji MNSG guides spiral wrapped utilizing a bumper guide. Guides wrapped with "A" nylon.
Looking for opinions or suggestions regarding the use on my selection of guide type/style. Should these guides be adaquate, or should

Joe, I'm not sure why you are adverse to an underwrap. I repair rods for a captain here on the east coast and like you, the guys on his boat are really hard on his equip. Concequently, when I repair his rods, I look for durability, that is why I underwrap and use size D nylon for the wrap(sometimes a double layer), with at least two coats of finish. I have never fished for halibut, which I unders

WOW! who would have thunk that a lowly decal could have drawn so much attention. Just goes to show ya! All you need is the right tool for the job, you just need to find the tool. Once again, I thank all of you for your response and suggestions, have a great day and tight wraps.

In addition, you might consider utilizing approx 6oz of tension on your wrapping thread. I also found that if I shorten the distance between looms this also helps .

Thanks everybody. Putter; the decal has no finish of any kind, its just sitting there all discombobulated. The CP is on the trim wraps only. To compound the problem, the bad decal (water slide) is on the bottom half of the blank while a decal (stick on) of a snook is on the top half. I'm afraid that if I use a strong solvent it will ruin the the snook decal.

12. Decal removal
Need info on removing a water slide decal that was applied incorrectly, directly to the blank. The decal is in between two wraps. The wraps are protected with CP only. I contacted Decal Connection and Deb was unable to help. She suggested our forum for advise. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the imput guys. I keep thinking about this problem and I figure it has to be somewhere in the set up. If I am sure that the center axis is on the money with the center thread on both looms before I start the first letter/design, then it seems that the problem has to be when switching the threads from loom to loom, or when you make your wrap. The wrapping thread may be pulling the desig

I am having problems maintaining a straight line when weaving letters or designs using two triangle shaped looms (similar to maybe Kel's style of loom). My design or letters are heading downhill from start to finish, and I end up with approx. a 2mm drift in about 15mm of lenght. It may not sound like much, but it sure is noticeable. I currently anchor the two looms with masking tape and use 5-6oz

Hi everybody. I would like to do some weaving on a fly rod reel seat, or any other reel seat for that matter. If I try to do this on a conventional seat, I wont be able to get the reel on, the diameter will have increased too much. I don't have a lathe to turn a seat and fit it into a skeleton. Any suggestions?

16. Weaving letters
Need some help on laying out fonts on graph paper relative to how to determine the width and height of any particular style using A design & wrap or A design & C or D wrap.
