if you place epoxy where you need it you can place shaving gel in the eva and on the blank. this help slide the grip in place. the epoxy will set up fine..I suggest you place the grips on then wrap thje tape and trim.

Gerald,
some tricks to try. first in measuring out the epoxy place two quarters on a table ,cover with alum. foil press an inprint of the quarters in the foil. this will make two fine measuring cups of equal volume fill one with part A the other with partB an mix. this is generally enough for one rod without a largr butt warp.
with the warps turning, use a heat gun on them. this will cause sag

here in alaska most of our fishing is at those depth or deeper. the rod length should be pair with the size of the boat.a skiff sixteen or under should be a short rod. the long rods do well on larger boats where one can walk around. as for the roller tip grouper are not that fast to require a roller but to each is own.

cann't help this time but next time put a coat on and spin for ten minutes then use a hair drier while it spinning. this will thin the fc and it will sag and bring any bubbles.take off the extra fc. this give me a thin first coat and no bumps.
