A friend wants me to build him a spinning rod to throw tube jigs on the Green River. I only fly fish and have know knowledge of that type of rod. I would appreciate any recommendations from this knowledgeable group. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the help friends. I truly appreciate the advice. I've put together alot of rods but have never had the opportunity to do a repair of this type. I do repairs for a local shop and do rods for friends but have not had opportunity to meet other builders around here. Alot of guys build one or two for themselves but nothing fancy. I enjoy making them look better then just a stick!

I appreciate the imformation. It is the tip end of the butt section. The guy built this rod and would like to use it as a back up rod. Would it also work to use a section from another rod to do an exterior coupling and then wrap the whole thing? Thanks again for expertise.

Thank you, no it is just back from the tip end. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by an inner sleeve. Thanks again.

I have a customer with a 596 RPL he built and the butt section snapped cleanly approximately 12" from the end. He wants to salvage the rod because it has sentimental value to him. How would you go about repairing something like this?

I have been building for several years and would like to begin weaving. I am looking for suggestions on materials to read and types of devices available for purchase or details on how to build. Thanks for any help.

I'm curious where to go to see others work for future projects. It is inspiring to see what others can do. Thanks.
