I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on this subject. At one time I had the link to a website that sold finished cordura material sold in tube form. All you had to do is buy the plastic pipe and you could make up your own. Unfortunately, I lost the link, along with many others, when my computer crashed a few months ago. If anyone could help or suggest one of the vendors

I have been building rods for myself and some friends for about the last ten years.
In the next year or two I will be retiring from my day job and would like to build rods to sell to customers and perhaps on E Bay.
What are the liability issues associated with rod building?
I have done a search but I didn't turn up anything.
Do I need to take out insurance? Form a corporation?
I am looking f

Jeff,
I would agree with you.
I bought an 8 ft. 3 wt. 3 pc. in the Optimum Plus and it is truely a beautiful casting rod.
I think that these blanks are a real steal for the price.

I have been reading this board for many years and now find myself trying to use a spatula for applying finish. I have tried the metal style that artists use and a few similar types right down to the McDonld's coffee stirrer.
I like the way the finish goes on and it is easier, it seems, to control bubbles and etc.
The problem I am having is that when I have finished the coating and am trying to

I have been using this product for sometime but I would like to know what others use.
I am looking for a product that is easier to mix and apply. Something that is a little bit smoother, more towards the liquid state.
Thank you for any and all replies.

I have used and Ebony reel seat from REC Components in the past and was very satisfied with it.
I would suggest that you go to their website, they are a sponsor here.
I have always found them to be very helpful.

Does anyone know when you buy Hopkins and Halloway Guides whether the vendor is responsible for grinding the guide feet or are they pre-ground by H&H and sent that way to the vendor.
I bought some single foot wire guides and they were so poorly ground that I had to regrind them again.
I think that in the future I will just buy them unground and grind them myself.
What do others do?
Thank

I have read several times where builders have used Permaglos to coat the outside of a blank. I have an older IMX 8 foot 2 pc. 2 wt. fly rod blank that I would like to apply Permaglos to.
However, I have a few questions which I was unable to have answered by looking through the archives on this subject.
Do you coat the total blank? Even where the two sections would lock together?
I was going t

Has anyone else built on this blank before and what did you think of it? In comparison to say a Sage Xi2 10 wt.? I mentioned to him that I couod get him an Xi2 blank and build him a rod and that way he would have a chance to cast the ro
