Jeff, I would agree with you. I bought an 8 ft. 3 wt. 3 pc. in the Optimum Plus and it is truely a beautiful casting rod. I think that these blanks are a real steal for the price.

Does anyone know when you buy Hopkins and Halloway Guides whether the vendor is responsible for grinding the guide feet or are they pre-ground by H&H and sent that way to the vendor. I bought some single foot wire guides and they were so poorly ground that I had to regrind them again. I think that in the future I will just buy them unground and grind them myself.
