I've got 13'ers from St Croix and from Batson; both rods are for centerpin float-fishing and I love them both. I'd like to add a Raven 14' to the collection. Anyone got 'em ? Thanks.

I've begun recently to learn about Carp fishing. It's interesting and can be very tackle intensive. A lot like Steelhead / Salmon and Surf fishing. For some reason though, the custom building of rods for carp fishing ( Euro style ) hasn't taken off yet. Does anyone have a line on a source for blanks for Euro-style Carp rods ? I've found a few Salmon / Steelhead blanks that would fit the bill, but they're not quite the same. I can find factory rods in the US, but no blanks yet. I can't afford overseas shipping rates. Thanks for any help.

I may buy a Breakaway HDX surf rod, conventional, with plans of rewrapping it. ( I hear the factory hardware isn't too hot ). Has anyone seen / used one and are the factory guides laid-out well enough ? If I can simply replace the guides at the same locations it'll be worth it, but if I must move and add guides I'd be better off with a plain blank even at a higher cost. Thanks------ Lee
