Here's a rod I just finished for the bro-in-law for xmas. 8 foot batson rated for 25lb. line and 4 oz.'s. Will be paired with a Daiwa Sealine reel, hence the black and gold theme. Very simple rod, but I think it turned out pretty classy looking. Also, first rod using only TM Lite. Turned out crystal clear and not a bubble in sight.

21. Spiral Wrap
This is a Seeker CTS60XH that I built for my Dad for his birthday. It will be paired with a Penn 6 wide so I just matched the colors on the rod. He doesn't care for all the butt wraps and such so I just kept it simple. His name is Max but when we travel to Costa Rica, etc., everyone calls him Maxamiliano, so that was the name of the rod. Spiral wrapped with Batson boat guides. First guide is

Had this made for a surf grip on a surf rod instead of EVA. It needed to stand up to the abuse of being put in and out of the PVC rod holder and was looking for something different.

The piece to the right of the Alps reel seat I had machined for me. I have an identical piece that I would like to use on the lower butt section, but I'm trying to see if anyone has ever turned or had rubber shaped, turned, molded, etc. to work as a nice fighting butt.
