2. Epoxy
Is it possible to use one brand of epoxy (for example, Flex Coat), dry, and apply a different brand on top of that (for example, U-40)?

3. Re: Epoxy
No, I pour it on to foil, i mix it for 2 1/2 minutes and make more than enough of it. On the three wraps that have a problem it isn't the whole wrap, just an area that is about a 1/4 inch square.

Top joint wraps have been drying for 48 hours. 7 out of 10 wraps have dried perfectly but spots on three wraps are tacky. All were done from the same batch. Any reason for this? Thanks.

In regards to super braids, the first generation lines would cause damage but the braids that have come out in the last few years are formulated differently, are slicker and will not damage any rings.

I have been building some rods based on Ken Abrames rod designs. I have found that these set ups work wonderfully on the NE coast using 9-11 weight lines on less than fast 10' 6" rods. I am, however, open to what is inefficient about this type of set up. How would you set up a 10' 9wt using 9-11 wt lines with lots of loops and knots throughout the leader?

I'm building a 10' 9wt. Rainshadow for SW fishing. What problem, if any, would occur by going from a 16-stripper to a 6-snake rather than a 12-stripper to a 6-snake? There is an 18 and 25 following the 16 or 12, whatever the case may be.

I fish the south shore of Long Island. I built an HS1025 this summer for casting 2.5-3oz. Hopkins and 2oz. plugs. It's very nice. I also have a HS1021 for jigging and plugs and it can handle big stripers. I use it more than than the 1025. I built the 1025 to throw a heavier lure in snotty weather.

Some epoxy for attaching a fly reel seat has seeped onto the threads where the removeable butt screws into and hardened. What is the best way to remove this in such a small opening? Thanks.

Thanks for the strong suggestions. I'm adding a 2" fighting butt and want to have both pieces to be equal length.
Have a super wonderful New Year.
