The problem is that someone can gain control of the website-not exactly sure how that's done but it does happen-and then they start collecting money for goods that are never delivered.
This has happened with an Australian Big Game tackle site that the owner let go and someone hijacked-this was just a few months ago-

Yes I used to have a bookmark for the company that was going to be producing a Gary Loomis designed product but the site went down and that's all she wrote until I read about the 'rest of the story' here today.

Look to some of the heavier weight fly rod blanks many come in multi piece configurations and function well as spinning blanks.
Not sure what you mean about extra charges for rod tubes though I've flown all over and never paid a peso.

The old King was a serious fly fisherman and had a number of lakes stocked with Rainbows and Browns-I've heard good things about lakes in Nuristan but as mentioned it's a big place and secure access may be an issue.

I've owned a few of their blanks/rec'd excellent service from them over the years.
As to their longer rods I find them somewhat overbuilt/tip heavy and prefer Loomis for river fishing here in BC.

Hello Everyone!
First off let me say how much enjoyment I've had over the years reading this fine Forum-now I finally have a question that I hope is worthy of you all(!)
Some years back a local Trout/Salmon rod builder here in Vancouver BC assembled a rod for me out of components I bought from Angler's Workshop-it's served me well to date.
