Thanks to all of you. Ihave much apprecited your help. The scraping tecnique work well, but is a little longer ( I don't have tried now with heat). Now I must talk with the customer to see if it is the case to use some stripper to put down the working time and so the cost for the total work. Thaks a lot . Paolo Cevenini

Hi everybody. I have here three blanks that I have refinished two years ago with permagloss, but the customer now returned to me because the pemagloss start to pell of in some spots, expecially on the top part of the rod when it receive much more sun exposure than the bottom (he fishes nearly 5 days per week). So, now, I have to remove all the guides and refinish all the three blanks completely.

Hi. Here in Italy I don't find the Sctchbrite grey, but only the less finer sizes. I need to prepare ablank for a refinish. Can I substitute the scotchbrite with a 0000 wire wool or 000? Is it equally good? Thanks alot in advance. Paolo Cevenini

Hi everybody. I have in my hands four rods with a glossy garnet finish, that after some years of use are become opaque in surface. Hi. In your experience, what is the best method for turning rod after the epoxy application? I mean: do you hand turn the rod until the finish is set? Do you prefer to hand turn until it start to gel and then move on the drier? Or after epoxy application do you prefer to move the rod directly on the drier, and in this case at what speed? Hi. I am in training to take off the guides on a carp rod that I made two years ago, but i have a real problem. I have used nylon thread (gudebrod) without color preserver, so the finish have completely penetrate the thread, but now, after take off all the guides and all the wraps, when I remove the shouldes of finish formed at the sides of the guide feet, the finish come off easily, but takes of

I'm an user of LS Supreme, both lite and hi build, but I have heard so many good things about Threadmaster, and I am curious, just to test different finish to know what work best for me. Hi everyone. I need to build 4 surf rods with a high conicity, and the customer want the grips made with nu-skin rod armor to take the rod grips as thinnest as possible. I have no experience wiht this type of material. I have read that in most cases it is not applied directly on the blank but over a cork tape. Is it only a question of feeeling? I have a 20 rpm motor that I use for apply finish and for dry it, But on the forum I have read that a lot of you use slower motor , and I want to know why. Hi everybody. It is two days that I have put the color preserver (u40 color lock) on my wraps. They are tied with gudebrod nylon A olive green on a graphite color blank. I have completely fill the tunnel under all the guides by putting a drop of color preserver at the opening. I have put two coats. Hi. I'm in train to re-built a medium-heavy spinning rod (8", 1-2 oz casting weight), and I need to coat with the butt wrap some inscriptions made to the manufacturer under the first coat of finish. Hi. I'm an happy an user of ls supreme, but I have an headhache. Normally I put my first coat (no color preserver), with the regular version to easily penetrate the thread and the second coat with high build to make the depth I require. But I have seen a lot of difference in drying time between the two versions. At the same room temperature (70°f) , the high build take nearly 4-5 hrs to be tack
