Have a Canon Powershot A70. It took great pictures until I fell into the river. It never came back to life.
Have a Minolta Diamage X60. It took even better pictures with a killer macro...until I fell into the river. It "works", but has water spots on the lenses. It'd cost a $250 for Sony to even open it up.

My 9ft 8wt FT from Dan was labeled "Five Rivers FT". I'm not sure which of his blanks he labels "Five Rivers." I recommend you give him a call. He's a great guy to talk to and will give you as much help as you need.

Just glued it up using Tom's suggestion. Looking good so far. Found that the bottom of the tip section on a busted 5 wt fit just about perfect on the ID of the top of the butt section of a 4 wt. What were the odds.

You're right Larry - embarrassing mistake for me. Important to keep male and female parts straight!
More precisely, the break is 3/8th of an inch from the top of the but. The total overlap was 2 inches. I suspect I could cut the section and still have plenty of overlap. Typically the top of the male section is plugged. Any ideas on how this is done?

I need advice on a rod repair. I managed to break the female ferrule of the butt section on a 4-piece Forecast 4wt. Apparently the fit had loosened during casting and as I loaded it snapped.
