Chuck, Thanks for input but I can`t agree with you. In Poland we have different fish and different methods. We just can`t use your blanks and rods for the same purpose, we don`t use such techniques. Of course, we use many technique specific blanks as drop shot, spin jig, crankbait but there is plenty of freestyle in building rods for species that you don`t know. We use your S&S blanks for sa

Hi I need an advice. I`m planning to build a 7'6"-8" rod mainly for casting and trolling for pike, with 6-8" cranks (up to 2-4oz, rather deep diving) and big soft baits (bulldawg etc. up to 3-4oz). I don`t want a stiff stick but a quite soft rod with a stong butt. It will be paired with Abu Revo Winch spooled with Tuf Line 40lb braid. As far as I know MHX line (MagBass mostly) t

Hi Did someone of you build St.Croix 3S63MLXF with spiral wrap? I need advice if I should use 7 or 8 guides + tip. I did static test and the best mode for me is with 8 guides: T-LNSG 10, 8 and T-LSG 7, 6, 4x 5,5 + 5,5 tip. Gaps between the guides are (from the tip): 9,2, 9,7, 10,4, 11, 13, 16, 19, 23 (reargrip is 17,5cm). I tried to remove one 5,5 guide but IMO the angles with line on the tip we

Hi I was trying to build a rod with threadless guides but had a little problem. How to align the guides on the blank without thread before putting epoxy? I tried Flex Coat thermo glue, it works with double footed guides but didn`t work with one footed small guids. Just couldn`t put them straight at one move. Do you have any tip for me? Regards, BB

Thanks Andy. One more question. Can I use standard (medical) syringes? They`re made of silicone and FC cause some sort of reaction.

Hi I received TM Lite (from Fishsticks4u - great shop BTW) but I got few questions before I`ll start to using it. First of all, how long do I need to wait before recoating? Can I use syringes or yoker caps after using them with Flex Coat? Do I need to clean them (with what)? Thanks in advance. Regards,

Jim, One more. I`ve read on St.Croix site that butt of this blank had 0,655" = 16,6mm. Is it possible? I am asking because 4" higher you measured only 13,1mm.

Hi I ordered this blank and I will be waiting for it for ca 3-4 weeks. I will have very little time to finish it so I need to collect components right now. To do this I need to know few diameters from people who have this blank or rod. I need blank dia in 4", 7", 12", 16", 16,5", 18" and 19" counted from bottom (in mm if possible). I need it to fit winding ch

Hi I just ordered 2M66MHF blank. I would like to do it with spiral wrap. I was wondering if it`s possible to use LSG guides on the bottom? I think that one footed Alconite could be a liitle bit too weak? What do you think? I was thinking about Fuji Sic`s or Amtak Titans. From LNSG 16 to LSG 7. Thanks in advance.
