These are some things that I would suggest.
First, just think a moment about how a liquid reacts to a given enviroment. If applied to a level surface or an inclined surface, the liquid will level itself. If on an inclined surface, it will attempt to be higher on one end, due to trying to level. If it were to remain a liquid, it would eventually all traverse to the low side of the incline.

There is one other element to this equation. The psi applied to the guide ring, by the line. The more the angle of the line across the guide ring, the larger the footprint, resulting in less psi applied to the ring. Yes, these are very very minimal values, but they are part of the equation.

This may help. This is from Machinist Workshop magazine.
Some of you might appreciate this. Machinist's Workshop magazine tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts.
They are below, as forwarded by an ex-student and professional machinist, Bud Baker.
They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from

I dont see anything wrong with letting other consumers know of the issues your having and if a sponsor doesnt stand behind their products I dont see any problem with you warning other builders/consumers about your experience. Protecting a company just because they are a sponsor i

Billy, with your proficency at inlays, I was wondering if you could cut out a section of grip all the way down to the blank and lift the grip edges with something to allow the application of epoxy. Then, when cured, reinstall the removed peice. My thoughts are maybe epoxy the peice to the blank, then spread the seams to allow contact cement to be applied. Probably would have to do one seam at a t

Roger, Yes, I put one layer only. I've never used cork tape, but I suspect that I wrap the tape similar to wrapping cork tape except I do not butt the edges to each other, but overlap them slightly.

Roger, I am not sure how to answer. Mine is just ordinary threaded rod with a class 2 thread and USS pitch. I wrap the tape on about a 30 or 40 degree angle with a very slight overlap and I can turn the nut with my fingers.

Gabe,
Just a little hint that I am sure that you are already aware of:
If you happen to use threaded rod for a clamp - simple easy and inexpensive, and have to have the nuts 1/2 way up the threaded rod - a simple and easy way to do this very quickly is to simply chuck the threaded rod in th

C,
As with any process that one undertakes, always take the appropriate precautions, whether it is a special oven - well removed from the wife, or special venting and respirators to handle fumes.
That is the wonderful thing about life. Always somehting around the corner to discover, to create, to change, or to modify.
Take care
Roger
All of that is true, however should a pre teen

Roger, you may want to look at an MSDS sheet before suggesting the melting process. The "C" in PVC is for chloride.
Though the PPM is low, there are some cautions to be observed when heating.

I would love for someone to explain, to me, why it would make one iota of difference. Is the implication that the finish will level better if rotated CW as opposed to CCW or vice versa? If so, it would seem that by now people would have discovered that and all driers would function in one direction.
If it is the stop action (between directional changes) that is the advantage, then hand rotati

I am assuming that you mean 350 to 400 mm since 40mm is slightly over 11/2 inches. Is your wrap open or closed? An open wrap will look unlevel due to the low places between the thread until after several coats. Also applying the finish lengthwise reguires you to brush it, like painting, and this can, in itself, cause bubbles.

I know that this post is concerning a bait casting setup, but the reference to line not touching the "stripper" guide has me curious. If the line touching the stripper guide degrades casting, how can a spincast setup function at all?

Another source of info, which I feel is very good, is a tutorial by B.D. Ehler, that can be found on Raymond Adams
tutorials website. I think, for a beginner, the illustrations may be easier to decipher.

If you go to Grainger's web site, select motors, then repair parts, you can enter your motors model number or select all models. When you view the parts list, many of them also have an exploded view, which can be enlarged. If yours does, it may give a clue as to what the obstruction is.

Many oriental markets sell the Kai disposable razors, which are as sharp as a double edge blade, and when they dull, you can break double edge blades in half and insert them into the handle.

Ken, are you asking about cord wrapped grips, or putting a cord wrap in place of a crosswrap in front of the grips?

22. GREAT BLOG POST
The Civil Participation post on Rodmaker Blog is, in my opinion, excellent and really tells it like it is. Too bad that
all internet forums are not monitored like this one and SOL. One of the other rodbuilding forums has been, for the past three days, much like a school of piranha at the blood bank.

I haven't had the graduations wear off so quckly that it seemed a major expense or hassle to order more, but if it should, a person could measure and mark t he barrels at the 3cc point or any other quantity. Then lightly run a tubing cutter around it and have a mark that would not wear off.

It just keeps getting better-------Thanks Tom
Also a question. Is it likely that someday there may be an article about blank failure analysis. I suspect that it may be major undertaking to accumulate all the information, especially photos, but I think it would be of interest to many.
Thanks again for a SUPER publication.
