Thanks for the positive feedback. I hadn't thought about selling one, just trying to improve my system. Like many things DIY, (including most rods) the cost of a custom build are probably more than buying one at the store. All told I probably have $175 just in parts along with a lot of time. My shop situation isn't ideal right now, but I have a friend that runs a CNC shop that could cut the tooli

Coming back to rodbuilding after a few years away. Needed to upgrade my old wrapping system and wanting something that could be broken down and stored in it's own case. Needed to be compact but able to extend up up to at least 6ft. Most of the wrappers I've seen, even the "portable" ones have a fixed bed length that makes them cumbersome. The stuff sure turns nice seats, but smells to high heaven. Anybody know what the chemical is that's coming off and if there is a cartridge that will take it out of the air I'm breathing? I'm using one of the AOS masks with a cartridge that says its for organic fumes (can't remember the number). It seems to help, but I can still smell the stuff. Thanks

I have a client looking for a 7'6" 2wt. I was thinking the St Croixs would be perfect but she's set on a 2pc if at all possible. Anybody know where I can get a 7'6" 2wt in a 2pc? She's also looking for a slow-mod action. Thanks

A friend and I cast spinners for salmon off the Oregon coast, usually in conditions with little or no surf. My friend makes the spinners and they are usually 1oz, but the weight could be varied somewhat. What would be the best set up to throw these spinners as far as possible with a rod that can handle 20lb test and 30lb chinook? We are looking for a good combination of power and distance that
