Bill, Great article on the tiger wrap. I have been using color preserver techniques similar to the one you wrote about with good results and really liked your article. I have been expermenting with different threads both regular and ncp to get the holographic effect with not so great results. Could you explain how do get the holographic effect?

Bill, I would also like to commend you on a great article. I have been testing out some different wraps with similiar techniques as you explained in the article to get different effects. I'am really interested in making the holographic effect. I think it is done with more that 2 layers of thread. How do you do it?

I need a blank recommendation for a 7ft and an 8 ft 2 piece spinning blank to be used for pier and beach fishing in Georgia. Catching species such as: sheepshead, drum, snapper and what ever else swims around there. I have never fished in Georgia and need some help picking a blank to suit pier fishing in that area.

The whole premise of this forum is to share rodbuilding information with others so that the craft can be appreciated, respected and improved upon. I believe that by offering this information to the forum that it will be improved by having other rodbuilders experiment with it. In addition, by letting your fellow rodbuilders experiment with this unique technique before the article in Rodbuilder Mag

Did you ever get to talk to Scott Throop and ask him about how to make the "tiger wrap". You said that you might find out at the Fred Hall Show. I have tried to make this wrap but I need some expert advise.

I would really like to know in detail how to do a "Tiger Wrap" . I think it is some type of layering technique with metalic, regular and NCP threads. Please check out the links to pictures of this wrap and if you are familiar with the method please explain.
