Also use the 1x30 sander for guide prep. But found micron belts for it, no need to polish. they come out perfect

Need to replace a wire guide on a 30 year old shakspear wonderod. what kind of thread sealer did they use then, varnish! will using flex coat lite be all right

Have a 903 fly rod where the two sections where not seated correctly. Tip section came loose & broke off 1/4 inch of the male ferrule on the butt section. Still have 1 1/2 inch overlap. Will glueing an insert inside the male ferrule section strength it ok. There was some splittering. If I cut the end down, the tip section will not fit. Will change the ID/OD

Bought 2- 7' foot kokanee rod blanks at the lamiglass meet in washington. there made of fiberglass, was told they need a graphite insert for the butt section to stiffin the butt section so they can handle a down rigger. how long should the insert be!!!!

Found a 1 1/2 " gasket plug cutter to cut the rings for a grip. But what do I use to shape the grip, same as cork. Coures file and sand paper! I assume the center bore would be the same type of fit as cork or should it be slightly undersize! what is the best adhesive for mounting finished grip to blank, rod bond, 2 part epoxy ect ! Yes I did read the article in Vol 11-Issue 3 its

What causes flex coat part A resin to turn milky white, and form small lumps . Has happened to me twice. This morning I used a lighter to heat the finnish and the small lumps disappered. I quess this means the resin is no longer good!

bought a old trolling rod to refinnish, but need to remove the wood foregrip so I can replace the reel seat, I can cut the reel seat off, but I dont want to cut the foregrip as it has all wood grips in excellent shape. any ideas.

Trying to find a good 1" belt sander for doing guide feet. Trouble is I can only find 120 grit belts, when I want 220 grit or finer. any ideas for a source

at the april meeting in woodland you and jim mick where talking about spiral wraps for any rod when you do not have a reel. Could you please give me your views on this. The rod is a 81/2 ft steelhead blank, casting. you seemed to have a generic set for this situation Vaughn

Is there a generic, one size fits all spiral wrap when you do not have a reel to do the setup. the rod is a rainshadow HS 1023 , 81/2 ft steelhead blank for casting. what would be the pacing on the first 3 quides? Some one at the woodland meeting mentioned a spacing that works on all rods when you do not know the reel to be used
