As rod builders are limited in number and, in my opinion, a rather elite group of craftsmen (and women) it is important and helpful for us to communicate to each other which venders and suppliers are exceptional and which ones may have persistent problems. I am looking for some direction here, how do you create marbling ? Judging by the samples posted in Photos this is a pretty academic question to some. But I can't figure it out.

Excellent blanks. They could spoil you. The only problem I have had is the same as yours, finding an outlet.
At one time a custom shop in Florida was suppling me but they can't get them now either.
I will check with Bingham as suggested. Thanks.

In my experience the statement above by Andrew White is correct. Over the past few years I have built around 20 casting rods on spinning rod blanks without a single negative issue. Also I have gone the other way and built 3 excellent inshore spinning rods from 7'6" casting rod blanks. It is all about action and power.
