Hello:
Been gone from this site a while. Surprised to find not many choices for 9' 6" blanks anymore. Looking for a blank to through streamers. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a blank? Should I move up to a 10' or even a switch rod? Or down to something like a 9' salt water 6 wt.? Was looking at Sage VPX 9'6" but would like to avoid spending more than $200 if possible. S

I have an RX8 2 piece 10 wt. blank. I purchased it several years ago when I lived in Southern California, with the idea of using it for Yellow Tail and the occasional Durado that make it to the area. I am looking for comprehensive information on creating inlays for cork and wood handles. I have seen the JIG for sale by Custom Tackle Supply, but it appears this JIG creates only the checker board pattern. Do most people create their own JIGS? Is there information on JIG theory? I have searched the archives but maybe I'm not inputting the right words. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of using some acryllic blanks, the kind the pen turners use, as a decorative in my fly rod handles. Perhaps in place of the first and last cork ring. Has any one ever attempted this? I have two questions: (1.) Can acryllic flex enough without cracking, and (2,) can acryllic stand up to the elements (heat/cold?)
Also, should I turn the acryllic on a mandrel with the cork rin
