I can say very good info at seminars sat thru three saturday first thing in the morning learned more bits and reason why then you can not just look but feel the reel seats of how they fit to you not just a picture in a catalog and you have a question they all have the right answer for you this was my second time there did find some good places to eat the bbq place and the cheese cake place north

I have used a rubber band cut it wrap it around the blank twice and tie a granny knot in it roll it to the guide and wrap it when close to the rubber band snip it and finish the wrap it has worked for me

When i apply the epoxy from the mix from a foil scrap that is on the lid from a spool from electrical tape i let use to hold the mixture on the foil when i am done the fishing rod is still rotating to dry i will test the foil left over to check for dry or tacky same for handle that i mix on a small card board flap and let that set this way i dont leave the finger print on the thread finish or tha

Hi Tom i make a paper copy of blank model grip type and location reel seat type and location front grip part numbers for all and then guides type and measurement on blank then its set in my binder if it works good then i can redo again if its made for someone else i can redo if they want another one made all spec are listed

Hi i use the yellow paint brush handle and slide then on hold your thumb nail at the stop from the guide and then you can match them up before you start to wrap not scientific but it works for me happy new year

Hi rodbuilding crew the arbor pilot bits have the centering 1/4 inch centering tube on the tip the bit has the cutting tips on the outer part of the bit the 1/2 bit starts the cut of your finished size but it leave a ridge of material in the foam plug so i use the smaller sized its to clean that out so the 1/2 bit can cut down more i use them by hand so i dont let the bit get hooked and split the

Hi rodbuilding crew i had got some nfc grips the soft touch they have the foam caps for the rear split grip and the handle part for the reel seat i reamed them out by using the cork reamer of 3/8 ths ,the 7/16ths and the 1/2 inch to gradualy cut the foam cap and not tear tear them up using them in the magnetic screw driver handle it holds the six sided bits little time to do but it didnt tear th

My early morning question on the wsc16 winding check for a ips reel seat do i have to warm the reel seat to get the winding check to fit the reel seat and use some handle epoxy too i have never used these before and dont want mess it up or crack the reel seat thank you

Hi looking for knowledge /help when using winding checks the wsc 16 can they be reamed slightly or just adjust the reel seat slightly to get the fit the reel seat is to have threaded collar top towards the guides or up location thank you never used these before and am just wondering as to not be let down or look messy

Thank you for tips ,ideas and knowledge you cant have to many fishing poles ? The longer i wait and think about these two rods the ideas keep helping to go with new stuff not just cork reel seat and cork the carbon fiber stuff is just as possible and just as easy to work with but they are just blue gill rods but thank you for all the new ideas i will order parts and assemble test and post a full

Help with input ideas i have a nfc ds761-1 blank 6-10# line lure 1/8 to5/16 want to make it as a spinning rod the blank in the handle area wont fit a fuji tvsts reel seat blank to small and i dont want to make an arbor to adapt because it would mask the sensitivity? Plan b make a three piece handle for the blank ,fuji kl ,kb and kt guides any other ideas or input my ears or my eyes to read are

A paper plate or white printer paper on the wall is good start eye them looking at the plate in good light what i have done is look at the guides with the back side of the rod up guides on the underside twist the back side of the blank and get the guides to be cut in half from the blank and have the blank block them at the rings be at six oclock and twelve oclock and sight them in it works for me

El no pressure but how are the rod builds going? I have some tips? maybe to help spine the blanks wrap masking tape to mark the spine inside for spinning rods size the rear grip mark the blank to where it will fit i find it easier to put the rear grip on and glue it in place so you have that to back stop for the reel seat and fore grip when you are going to put on the reel seat and fore grip sli
