It is interesting, there was a video running while the last failure happened. It is really grainy, but I don't see any thing unusual. As he reached for his net, the fish made a run and it failed. 4x tippet, I would have thought it would have broken first. I didn't take a picture of the breaks, but just above the point where the male end of the ferrule stops inside the female. I've fished my r

So, I built a 9' 5wt Sage X for a client, he loves how it casts etc (He nick named it "the Cannon"). This spring we was attempting to dislodge a stuck fly, and the rod broke at the female ferrule in the 3rd section (from the tip). Granted it is hard to tell how much load he put on it. So I send it to Far Bank for repair. While it is gone, I loan him my personal rod, Sage X 9' 5wt. While

I used REC guides on a Sage build recently, i do like them. I went with litewire snake on this one.

I am getting supplies together to build a 9 ft , 5 wt Affinity M blank. It is clear coated Does someone know what color of ProWrap non color protected thread will match the color of the blank as closely as possible. Thank you! jerry
