As title are CPB761HM & PB761HM the same blank? Mud Hole has the CPB761HM but the spec is a little off from the Point Blank website... Voodoo has the PB761HM. Both price are very similar. Louis

Yes as Norman said Utmost stopped carrying Pac Bay components couple months ago. Carol told me that they Pac Bay had a huge backlog due to supply chain or something so they decided to stop carrying Pac Bay stuff.

How about PB691MLXF? I think I can tolerate the length to 6 ft 9". Hope it can throw some weightless fluke/tiny fluke & small hard jerk bait (1/16 oz to 1/4 oz) and can do a good twitch. Good thing about PB691ML is that it can also double as drop shot rod if needed.

I built a NFC Delta MB664 for topwater and hard jerk bait. It bombs 1/4 oz jerkbiat out a mile and I really enjoying jerking with the stiffer tip section. But this rod can't handle 1/8oz small jerk bait or soft jerk bait (zoom fluke jr). I am looking to build another 6ft6 length jerk bait rod specifically for the smaller jerk bait application and am looking at Point blank. I have built PB701L

Thanks for the input. Here's an update of my guide placement. The reel I have is Daiwa Certate LT 5000 CXH. The C stands for compact, so the body/gear side is a 4000 size but the spool is a 5000 size (54mm). When I align the spool tip and place the reduction guide's top of the frame along the imaginary spool tip line, I can get a KW25 stripper guide 21 inch from the spool tip, and a KW20 9 inch f

I am building a American Tackle Bushido light saltwater 76 20/40 lb blank as a spinning rod, and am doing guide placement but have some question. My reel for this rod is Daiwa Certate LT 5000, the spool lip diameter is 54mm. I spooled this reel with 30 lb Berkely X9 braid and tend to use 15~20 ft of 20 ~30 lb mono/floruo leader. This combo will be using on boat fishing yellowtail/small tuna in

Thanks everyone for the answer and info. I put up 2 rods both BFS casting build with RV6 as stripper guide. Haven't wrap them yet but they surely look sharp. And height is taller than KW8 guide, weight is also less. It is easier to adjust the guide train, especially when doing spiral wrap.

I researched and bought the T2-RVSG6S guide for intended BFS casting rod build for the first stripper guide. Do I need to revers the guide placement as for the flat ring side facing the reel? Or is it ok to place it as regular guide orientation? Might be a dumb question but this is listed as reverse guide so I don't know if it's really needed to place as reverse. This guide is small in footprint

Yes I ordered from the first page/first item from NFC and got the wrong parts. Asked Alex and they said they will send the correct parts and got the wrong parts again. I might just look for some other brands like Batson or Fuji/Winn as I don't want to deal with NFC customer service again now...

I ordered some EVA butt cap from NFC along with both soft touch grip and their regular carbon fiber grip. The EVA butt cap they sells is only fitting the soft grip, not the regular carbon grip. I asked Alex to send the correct butt cap based on their website picture but I still received the butt cap that will only fit their soft touch grip. Question I have, does anyone know what EVA or oth

Does anyone notice the blank action difference in between REVS610MXF and IMMS610MXF? I built REVS610MXF as a spinning rod and it has softer tip as I called XF action. But I recently started a new build for IMMS610MXF. I finished the grip and reel seat section and is starting the guide placement today. The IMMS610MXF has a stiffer tip and has totally different action feeling than the REVS610MXF.
