I'm wrapping a rod right now with glow thread. I hate it. It doesn't glow all bright and I've packed the crap out of it and put sealer on it and the finish still wants to bleed through. I am using white. And it'll be the last time. I'll use paint over the wrap from now on. Maybe, someone else has a secret to it. John Scarborough

Spencer, you've talked me into it. I'm gonna have to order at least two of the sj703 sometime this week.

Thank you, everyone. I'll be stopping at whatever hobby store is in town and getting a quill pen and ink by Dr. Ph Martin. I'm kinda on my own on signing my rods and any other righting that I want done. Thanks again. John

Tyler, I'm the same way. I don't have very good penmanship either. But, I'm gonna give it a whirl and see what happens.

7. Pens
Hello, This is my first post and has more than likely been mentioned. But, can anyone recommend a good pen for righting on blanks? Something thin lined that I can seal over. Thanks for any help and advice. John

Mark, I will get ahold of you. I've liked the Tennessee handle since I got one years ago. Thank you for your time.

Hello, I am building a rod with a Tennessee-style handle on it. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a set of polished aluminum or chrome rings for the reel. Thanks for any help I can get. John Scarborough

You might try Rodgeeks. They have a 6'6" medium light fast action. I think it is $49

Jeff, you can go to the national fishing lure collectors club they have a ton of information on old lures.
