I'm wrapping a rod right now with glow thread.
I hate it.
It doesn't glow all bright and I've packed the crap out of it and put sealer on it and the finish still wants to bleed through.
I am using white.
And it'll be the last time.
I'll use paint over the wrap from now on.
Maybe, someone else has a secret to it.

Spencer, you've talked me into it.
I'm gonna have to order at least two of the sj703 sometime this week.

4. Re: Pens
Thank you, everyone.
I'll be stopping at whatever hobby store is in town and getting a quill pen and ink by Dr. Ph Martin.
I'm kinda on my own on signing my rods and any other righting that I want done.
Thanks again.

Tyler,
I'm the same way. I don't have very good penmanship either.
But, I'm gonna give it a whirl and see what happens.

7. Pens
Hello,
This is my first post and has more than likely been mentioned.
But, can anyone recommend a good pen for righting on blanks?
Something thin lined that I can seal over.
Thanks for any help and advice.

Mark,
I will get ahold of you.
I've liked the Tennessee handle since I got one years ago.
Thank you for your time.

11. In search of
Hello,
I am building a rod with a Tennessee-style handle on it.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a set of polished aluminum or chrome rings for the reel.
Thanks for any help I can get.

You might try Rodgeeks.
They have a 6'6" medium light fast action.
I think it is $49

Jeff, you can go to the national fishing lure collectors club they have a ton of information on old lures.
