I took my son's old scout uniform and put it against a madeira color chart (shows the actual thread for all colors) A starting point for you might be 1637 (red) and 1669 (green) or perhaps 1969 (green) The charts are cheap (I paid around 5 or 6 dollars) and the thread is responsible too so it is easy to buy several colors and then settle on the best choice.
