I have used the 018 Navy Blue NOCP. It is definitely closer than 009 or 008 but I think 018 probably still a bit too vibrant. It is always hard to judge lighting in photos.

I've used the alps AES14-WTS size 14 on a couple builds and it will fits the 2500 stradic fl and a daiwa fuego 4000 with plenty of room to spare. My guess is that they are very similar so no worries there. With average sized hands and don't find the ergonomics to be any worse than than say a SK2. I got 4 blanks from them. 1 Si, 1 Closer, 1 Infinity, and 1 prototype composite blanks. The Closer, SI, and Inf are all almost perfect. The composite blank was a little off in the center where the two composites meet but nothing unbuildable.
