Hello Mark, This is a layer of 3K material on the butt section of this blank. It goes approximately 33-35 inches up from the butt. The weave on the blank is a diagonal 3K weave pattern, gloss. The American Tackle G2 grips have a cross section 3K weave pattern, matte finish. Therefore, although they are both a 3K pattern, there is a difference.
