I took an Immortal 7'6" rod off the dryer and broke 7 inches off when I promptly jammed it into a garage rafter.

I set my PB691mxf as a spinning rod. It is in my opinion a do all rod for me. I use it for wacky rigs , tubes, and no. 5 countdown Rapalas but it really shines as a jerk bait rod for smallies.

Go to your local hardware store. It will be quicker and cheaper. Bring in your chuck if not too inconvenient and match it

Buhido CB72/8-15. It's 2 inches longer than what you want but will perfect especially for the heavier bait. I have 2 . One set up for casting and one spinning.

Try CRB freshwater blanks from Mudhole. 7ft medium. I use 30 lb braid on a Quantum baitcast reel with a flipping switch. The braid gives you sensitivity and the moderate action helps with hookups. Plus you don't have to spend a fortune. It works for me on Wisconsin waters.
