I'll admit that I do not have that much to contribute , but I access this website at least once a day. Some of the questions are repetitious (like finding the spine), but thats OK. I have learned so much you cannot imagine and my builds, (limited as they are ) have improved many fold. I, for one, will keep on lurking. Keep on keeping on, Tom.

Kudos to J. Stockard. Order submitted Friday, waiting at my doorstep Monday after golf. Not too shabby from Conn. to Northern California. Now the build is up to me.

I recently did a 9 foot, 3 weight, single foot fly rod using Threadmaster. I measured by eye, 15 drops of each intro a real small cup. I did two coats ( total of 60 "drops") and it worked for me. I figure, doing 3 rods a year, I will run out of Threadmaster Spring of 2012. Question is, what am I going to do with 18 more fly rods?????

I live in Concord, Ca, and may not be considered a "builder" having built 6 or 8 rods, but would be interested if there were a gathering in the area. Just my .02
