I don't 'wrap' any more but I still love the hobby. When I look at the photo's you all are posting I am AMAZED at the work everyone is turning out. Makes my simple chevron wraps look rather 'simple'!. You all have to be proud of what you are doing. I am impressed to say the least. Enjoy the holidays.

Ever think about other areas/items that might benefit from some type of fancy wrap? Here are a few that I can think of: 1) Fishing - How about net handles? How about Gaff handles? How about boat hook handles? How about thread burnishers? Take a piece of scrap rod, wrap some fancy thread on what would be the hand hold area then cut to whatever size would be comfortable. 2) Got a friend that

Claude - Guess there aren't any rod builders in the Jax area. Still waiting on a response from Daytona BUT if he doesn't respond or anyone else local maybe we can work something out. I go back to the Dale Clemens era of rod building. Although I only built rods for myself I have had a lot of fun doing this. As the topic indicates - I'm curious as to whether anyone has ever tried spiral guide placement for their CASTING rods??
