Daniel, i am casting about 1/8-1/2oz weights with it. and i usually fish at amador with my UL, and these fish get planted at no less than about 2-5lb's. yes i have kirtmans book, i was thinking of doing the newconcept becouse it makes the most sence to me. and as for the cork handle it thought that they were all different sized, so i didint want to get a size that didint fit, and for the seat, how would you measure it? like a size 16, how is that measured? well, to tell you the truth, that is what the guy told me to use, i questioned him aswell, but i said what the heck, he has built them before so he knows what he is doing. Mike, the reason why is that with a fly rod there is more give to it, and i use about 2lb line when i go fishing for amador cutbows, and in the serrias, so i need that extra bend. Does it make it harder to make, and whats the major differences? Also, What the difference in the blanks material. Ray told me that glass is a little bit more sluggs than graphite, and that it isint as responsive as graphite. what are some other pros and cons about graphite and glass?
