Thanks Bill,
I'll give Merrick Tackle a call tomorrow. Looking at their website they seem to carry the same diameter blank as my friends rod.
Hope so..

I'm right with you. I spent the last week refinishing my "Baby" a 20 year old St.Croix fly rod. It turned out O.K. My first attempt.
I'm now "HOOKED"

O.K. I'm pretty new to this. Is there a way to research which blank was used for a specific rod?
The reason I ask, a friend would like to replace his 12 year old Fenwick rod with another.

I'm refinishing my first flyrod that I've owned for over twenty years.(9ft.2pc.5wt. St.Croix) I have nicks in the finish, as well as other battle scars in the finish. I was wondering what I could use to either hide, or fill in these pesky nicks?
BTW. This is my first post on this site. My father has turned me onto rod building, and this is the first step in hopefully a long journey....
