Good Afternoon to all! I'm thinking of building myself a new fly rod. I've always been a loyal st.criox user and always will. I'm a little hestitant on the new canteen pearl green color of the scIII. I'm looking to build a 9ft 4wt for crappie and bluegill. I looked at st.croix's finished rods on their web site and they look great. Has anyone built one yet? Any thread color advise would be a help.

Hey Everyone! When is someone or some rod finish manufacturer going to come up with a quick set up rod finish. I'm talking a working time of 30min and complete set up time of 1-2 hours. I t would be great for doing repairs. Alot of times I have just guides to do, one or two on each rod, it would be awesome to have them done and back the customers in sort amount of time. Happy Thanksgiving to all! I was sitting around the other day, thinking of new ways to make my rods stand out from the rest. I had come up with the idea of trying to make the finish on the wraps matte. Has anyone tried this yet? I was thinking of getting my hands on some bias cloth and applying it to the wraps at just the right time. The time to apply I'm not sure but I was thinking of somewhere
