Any aussie builders out there I was wondering on average how long does It take to receive goods from mudhole. Just asking as I have ordered some gear ( not blanks) 3 weeks ago and haven't got them yet. Other stuff I havev ordered from the US normally arrives in about 6 to 10 days. Definatly polished ss with sic had a quick look at matagi and didnt see them listed, didnt check the full catalog, so if anyone knows where else to get them can you let us know.

I have a shimano grappler with with polished ss sic kl guides and wanted to build a rod with them but dont seem to be able find them anywhere. Anglers resource dont list them as being available so whats the go can you get them or are they only supplied to jdm.

Thanks for the info after doing some more research i have decided on kl guides 25,16,8 with the stripper at 21 inches and kt 6 running guides which could have been smaller but I am going to be using 20lb braid with 40lb flouro leader tied with pr knot, will just have to test cast to see how it goes. Once I laid out all the options on a long piece of paper it was easier to see the layout.

Looking to build my first spinning rod and I am a little confused about the choke point and reduction train. I have measured up my new stradic fk 4000 and according to gps it says the choke point is at 31 inches, if i use other similar reels it comes out fairly close so i know my measurments are correct. Using kr rapid choke it puts the choke point at around 25.5 inches. Using 27x I get a choke p

Hi, I have read that some of you guys use embrboidery thread for rod binding, have any of you used Gutermann polyester or metallics. Only asking as I can source these locally and can see the colours before buying. No one around where I live has any range of rod binding threads in stock. I know I will have to use cp. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers
