Thanks John, I do plenty of fly tying & I know what size 8-0, 6-0 is, but other sizes that thread comes in is chinese to me. I;ve been looking at some thread that comes in the size 120/40, how would this fair compared to the sizes 8-0, 6-0. Example; 120/40 is the same size as 6/0. Cheers, S.

Hi Billy, I've never tried, & I'm pretty new to the rod building scene TBH. I've suffered like a few with the bubbles & got thinking what possibly could be a better method, Dipping which I'm going to try, but it's a lot of varnish for the few rods that I'll be varnishing, hence the thought on the airbrush. Just trying to pick the brains of the more experienced members. Cheers,

Any member tried this, seen a few Utube Videos spraying different finishers, but none spraying Spar Varnish. Is it to much of a setup etc compared to dipping/pouring/brush & just not worth the hassle. Cheers, S.
