Thanks John, I do plenty of fly tying & I know what size 8-0, 6-0 is, but other sizes that thread comes in is chinese to me. I;ve been looking at some thread that comes in the size 120/40, how would this fair compared to the sizes 8-0, 6-0. Example; 120/40 is the same size as 6/0. Cheers, S.

Hi Billy, I've never tried, & I'm pretty new to the rod building scene TBH. I've suffered like a few with the bubbles & got thinking what possibly could be a better method, Dipping which I'm going to try, but it's a lot of varnish for the few rods that I'll be varnishing, hence the thought on the airbrush. Any member tried this, seen a few Utube Videos spraying different finishers, but none spraying Spar Varnish. Is it to much of a setup etc compared to dipping/pouring/brush & just not worth the hassle. Cheers, S.
