I had been using the support@edgerods.com address, but recently also added info@northforkcomposites.com to my messages. Not sure if that is what made the difference o

Wanted to provide a quick update on my warranty request. I finally got a response today letting me know that they would send me a new blank. Not an ideal situation, but wanted to at least give them credit for responding and offering to honor the warranty request. Will provide an update when / if the rod comes in.

Without offering any form of customer service now, why would anyone want to buy a totally disposable product from them? Is not honoring warranties or taking calls possibly a sign that they are closing their doors?

Yeah, it's not worth the hassle or my time. I would rather pay more and not have to deal with any similar situations in the future. It's just hard to imagine a company conducting business this way.

My fairly new MB 736 X-ray turned into a grenade when I set the hook on a 2 1/2 lb bass a few weeks ago. When it broke, it was so loud that my partner thought I shot my pistol. It broke right in the middle of the rod. Rod was in perfect condition and had only been fished once or twice. It stinks, but the bigger problem now seems to be trying to get in touch with NFC to discuss warranty optio

Wanted to poll all the knowledgeable folks that contribute to this forum to get ideas on components for two new builds. I ran across the NFC sale and couldn’t resist grabbing a few blanks at the discounted prices. I purchased an MB 706 HM and one of the new MB 736 X-Ray rods. Both willl be used for light t-rigs and general miscellaneous bottom contact baits. I am still fairly new to building ro

Great. That is exactly the type of information that people like me need when they are starting a build. I really appreciate both of your replies. I have heard good things about the HM MHX blanks, hopefully they are a big step up from the standard MHX rods. I have also seen a lot of good reviews on the immortal 2 blanks. To answer David's question, I do fish some cover but not enough to focus on

The nice weather outside has made my fishing gears starting to spin and I am looking to build a new rod. Since I am very much an amateur with only a few rods under my belt, I wanted to pole all the Pro's and forum contributers to get your recommendations. My last two casting rods turned out fine (MHX MH) that I made for my Dad, but they were kits to get my feet wet. Now, I want to build a nice ro

The feedback and information shared by the users on the site is really great. I am just getting started building rods (this is my first try) so I figured it would be better to pole the community here than try to go with the standard set of instructions available elsewhere. I am looking for recommendations on guide sizes for my first build (details below). I have decided to go with the Fugi BLNAG
