I'm still new to rod building, I really like the High Modulus Rods, However I seem to have a much harder time finding the spine of those type of rods. Is there a better way to find it on the Modulus rods, Or am I just getting substandard rods. Thanks

I just completed a medium spinning rod, I finished the orange rod with white nylon thread, while putting on the first coat of epoxy the thread absorbed it and turned clear! not sure how to cover it up. Was considering putting testor paint in the epoxy for the last coat to cover it up. thanks for any help!

I fish inshore saltwater 90% of the time , I make rods for my boys who like to use spinning reels along with most of my friends, I use Abu Garcia standard casting 5600 &6500 . Rods are generally 6.6- 7 med heavy to heavy.
